Tim, I don't think Andy Warhol (who first coined the phrase/concept of people having 15 minutes of fame) meant it as a compliment but as a commentary. In the past, other people with 15 minutes of fame include people who capture the media with outrageous statements and acts. In essence, people who give media a sound bite for the 6'oclock news. In short, I am afraid, your sense of jealousy is misplaced.
