Thean,

I've watch VTSS for a while now. Was about to pull the trigger at 32 or so the other day, and didn't. Very volatile and sold off with CIEN/TLAB/LU.

"I'm thinking in terms of a traditional Dow Theory bear market," said Richard Dickson, technical analyst at Scott & Stringfellow Inc. "Intermediate term, I would be surprised to see the recent lows hold. We've had the first phase of selling, which began in April. In the second phase down, the panic phase, blue-chips hold up best and secondary stocks get sold off the most. This is exactly what happened.

"The third phase is a secondary reaction where we start going back up and blue-chip stocks again do the best and secondary stocks don't," he explained. "It can be very sharp and relatively short. So far that's exactly what's happened.

"The fourth phase is the capitulation phase, the last phase down, where they take and shoot all the survivors," Dickson went on. "In that case, you're talking about the Nifty Fifty stocks like the Cisco Systems and the Dells, the stocks that have held up the best. That is what we have yet to do."
