No, actually you've got it wrong. Nixon was not involved with the breakin at all. He was fully involved with the coverup. As such, his crimes were clearly impeachable, we all agree. My question to Mr. Hypothetical was if Nixon came forward after the break-in crime was evident and before his coverup, would he have been impeached? The answer of course is "No." Similarly, had Clinton admitted his affair before he perjured himself and undertook an illegal coverup, he would be in no danger of impeachment. So you see, it's really not about sex. (Even though Starr's report might lead you to think it is.)

I wonder how that will pan out. Note that I said accused of - I have no idea if he actually did anything wrong on those issues. <<engaged in a conspiracy to subvert the election process >> Hmmmm....that would equate somewhat to the charges related to the campaign contribution issues. The interesting thing to me, is that the really important issues that might warrant impeachment are the ones that have not been released to the Congress yet. Either there is nothing proven on those counts (which is not the same as nothing was done), or Starr is waiting for the right time to release, based on political timing.
