Good Morning Sonny, Yes I was aware of the Internet stocks having a great day. Are you in any of them?? When the Nasdaq is up anymore I don't know if it is because of internet stocks or for other reasons. I think I disagree with you about Alan Greenspan. This man in my opinion is the most influential force in the stock market and he is not market friendly. I suspected that because the markets were up over the past few session that he was going to throw water on the fire. The markets reversed the sell off after Greenspan talked when Clinton stated that he would not resign. I think that today you will see what I mean about Greenspan not showing any support for a rate cut. I think that he really pissed the markets overseas and we are surely going to get the impact of this today. Look at companies such as Applied Material, Gillette and Coke. These industries are really taking a beating. Look at the brokerage companies and Banks. Allen what the heck is wrong with you? The world wants and needs a rate cut. ''There is a bit of profit to be taken because a number of stocks have risen pretty strongly from low levels and the world is still fairly shaky,'' said Howard Gorges, director at South China Brokerage. Sentiment took a beating as Tokyo stocks closed at their lowest level in more than 12 years on Thursday with the Nikkei average falling more than two percent.Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan's testimony to Congress on Wednesday, saying there was no concerted effort among G7 nations to lower interest rates, also set nerves jangling, brokers said. Futures dragged the market lower, consistently trading at a large discount to the cash market. The September Hang Seng Index contract lost 345 point to 7,405 with open interest at 68,081 contracts and volume at 20,906 contracts. The October futures contract dropped 380 points to 7,200. S+P futures are down almost 17 points. Fasten your seatbelts Have a great Thursday Frank
