Webb,
" I waited for over a year to start using QP since I really do not like using a "beta" product with all of the problems that come along with it. I guess that I should have waited a little longer."

Me too. ( Although I don't mind beta testing for free product.)

Yikes! Now you guys have scared me into waiting some more before downloading. This should NOT be happening. Clean correct timely data should be number one priority.

It was great of Gary to post the other day. In the future maybe a little note could be sent back when download is terminated because data is not there.

this thread is great

Do you know if this type of thing has happened in the past and what was done to correct the situation?

This is the first time I've seen this problem. You could get around it if you had input files that didn't include the corrupted data. I narrow the database once a week for stocks with high volume, etc., and wasn't aware of tonight's problem with the data until I read about it here. Then I confirmed it on my own system with wider scans.

Do you have input files from the night before -- ones for volume, fundamentals or whatever? You can run your scans for daily changes in price, indicators, etc., on those. You might not run into the stocks with the corrupted data. If you do run into them, you can remove those stocks from the input files, from the lists, in other words. I received e-mail from someone tonight who is doing exactly that.

These problems are frustrating, I know -- for Gary as well as us. It's a terrific program, and it's getting better all the time. I think Gary takes any problems seriously. I'm sure he'll get this resolved quickly.
