Steven:

As I'm sure you've deduced, I can't comment about WIND stock. But look at the charts, and you'll see that there has been a 50% differential in performance since I started posting on this thread (WIND up 10%, Winstar down 40%).

All of this serves my point. I really don't get hung up on short term ups and downs, and rather try to look for longer term beginning and end points. I only ask for short term forecasts to prove the folly of trying to do this. I don't think it's possible to accurately predict 1-3 month targets. I do think it's possible to look at fundamental analysis, such as balance sheets and earnings, and determine which companies are likely to perform for their stockholders in the long run.

My call on Winstar was not made because of short term technicals or a "market correction." Rather that I suspected that when the correction occurred, which they always do, Winstar's decline would be more severe than others.

It now falls into the category of fallen angel. Some recover. Most do not. To bet on performance 30 months away in a market that is having trouble figuring out next week is to me, a foolish investment thesis. Time will tell.

Regards,
JC
