You guys better be careful, And to think things like this takes place every day and we all think we are living in a free society with the freedom to do what ever we want. I keep wondering, If the top 10 drugs sold in the US are mind altering substances called anti-depressents and it seems the majory of the population is on it, well where are all the sane, free thinking folks? The more you know, the more you wish you were ignorant and go on with life. But with freedom also comes responsibility and if you dont excercise it, then others with do it for it. Ah to live in a free world, Its where everyone else wants to control your life and you live like no one is.

EGGS is also a target with the other few hundred.

"Ciena claims short-sellers, competitors hurt Tellabs deal
Ciena alleges in a quarterly report to the Securities and Exchange Commission that shortsellers and competitors conspired to foil the company's merger with Tellabs. "The company believes certain of the media coverage was substantially influenced by orchestrated activities of one or more shortsellers, and a competitor of the company."

All you guys dreaming about a buyout or deal with a big pharma company don't know what's going on. Shorts are controlling this stock. They control it even more than Ciena - look at the short postion against the total float in Vivus and Ciena. If they can screw up as big and as established companies as Ciena and Tellabs - billions of dollars - do you think they don't control Vivus? They prevented a Ciena-Tellabs deal. They will easily prevent any Vivus deal or buyout. Who is going to buy Vivus anyway, when the funds are driving it into a penny stock? Why pay $12 when you can get it for 0.25 cents? Anyway, doesn't matter - nobody is going to do a deal. Not Ciena, and certainly not Vivus.

I met with Slash recently. Can't stand the guy. We will not work together, though we may end up making money in this deal anyway. The funds had a big meeting over the weekend (that's where I met Slash). There was a dogfight among the funds. Some want to let Vivus run up again so they can re-short down again and yo-yo it some more - Slash is on that side. He wants to pump it up now.. On the other side are guys like Throat - they want it all now - kill it off. There is a little bit of a stand-off. That is the only thing that's buying you time. Look at the trading the last three days - you can see what's going on. Slash has been quiet not because he's "nice", but because he's busy organizing his side. Now Throat is trying to destroy Slash's strategy by coming here and using Slash's methods to dump the price immediately. In the end it doesn't matter - Vivus is going to get killed immediately (Throat's gang), or get first tortured extensively (Slash and his crew). Throat is not your friend and neither is Slash. At least I was always open about not manipulating - just taking advantage of trends to come along for the ride. NO WAY should Vivus have gone below 3. This is the work of scum like Slash. I always said Vivus is DOOMED, but it should happen naturally, in a longer time frame (when another product comes out that is a competitor to Viagra without the side effects, but also a pill -- when that happens, which it will, Vivus' market will simply disappear, and Vivus will die). I gave you good advice. I never manipulated. I always was up front in my detailed analysis. Now the "new" scum like Slash comes. I guess that's what he calls "new" generation. They have no respect for any rules. What he doesn't realize, is that there is always a "new" generation - and he will also get eaten... Throat is just around the corner. Oh, well, maybe I should take my money and retire. The game has gotten too dirty. Take care.

What's your take on IOM? It looked like it was ready to break out then pulled back some yesterday. What's your outlook on this one?
