Again, Bob, I really don't think the news here was about interest rates.

Its the global finance that a worry right now. G7 folks of course talk to each other, send ministers and staff to other organizations like OECD, but their main concern for joint action right now would be a position on support for emerging country debt, -- and on developing a position, ground rules, for borrowers/lenders to clean up their act.

Coordinating interest rate moves among countries gets into sovereign issues, not to mention the real domestic issues each country faces, which would be their top priority.
