Interesting that this stock has been crashing ever since a reiterated "strong buy" during some particularly weak market action. So much for FA! <gg>

Has it bottomed? Looks like it may have, if it holds the low:

Still have a small position I wish I hadn't ignored! Oh well, I think it should come back, eventually.

Good Luck,

NCES seems to be a company with excellent cash flow and management. I consider it one of my long term holdings and don't look upon it as a trading stock.

Nevertheless, Level II is always helpful when I want to increase my position, which I did last week. The stock is very thinly traded so you don't need to move very fast, normally. I placed a trade at about 10:30 AM EST at 4 13/16 on ISLD when the stock was 4 3/4 bid 5 1/4 ask. There was only one bidder at 3/4 at the time and about 3 at 5 1/4. The stock didn't trade again until 3:15 PM that day and I was the inside bid for that entire time! Finally, the trade went through and some reselling at 3/4 and 7/8 took place along with about 5 trades at 7/8 and 13/16 shortly afterward. The ask never dropped below 5. At the close the stock indicated at 7/8 to 5 1/4. I thought I did well. The next day a huge block went through (about 235,000 shares, as I recall), at about 4 3/8, and the price hasn't recovered since.

I'm not going to sell until there is something fundamentally wrong with the company, regardless of the stock price. Trouble is, I now own a stock long that is trading at a price that is so low that it is wallowing with my shorts that inevitably shrink into nothingness. It makes me very uncomfortable to see this company's stock so carelessly trashed when financially it is a jewel by comparison to these others that I hold short.

The bidders are increasing their exposure on Level II and increasing their prices. We may be about to experience some long overdue buying pressure. I notice that NOV is increasing significantly.
