If he (Hyde) is guilty of perjury, then he must have been sworn in or had taken an oath...that's the criteria, as I understand it. The thing which, could be applied, would be his wedding vows. Then of course, that type of perjury is handled in a divorce court, where his wife would impeach him.

Daddycool, you have the great ability to lump everything into one big pile where it doesn't make a damned bit of sense. See if you can sort things out into the separate issues they are. Doing so would help you make your points...or at least get them listened to, it's a divide and conquer type of thing.

If you keep lumping everything into one, the next thing we'll be talking about will be Bob Barker (I envy him) and the price is right models.

Hyde continues to perjure himself

I think you better look up the definition of perjury.

and you defend him

I didn't (and don't) defend him. I just said it's a whole different situation from Clinton. Again, what Clinton did with Monica is their business. What he said under oath is the publics business.

Hydes problem "Its ancient history" --Whitewater isn't?

How 'bout travelgate, chinagate, filegate etc. Even Whitewater is not nearly as ancient as Hyde's affair - at least when the investigation started it wasn't. And the only reason it's gone on this long is that it's very complicated (by design) and Clinton hasn't done anything to help move the investigation along.

few if, any congressmen can stand up to the scrutiny that Clinton has.

If that's true, this country is in BIG trouble.

Future candidates better be saints, have empty closets

I'd vote for that.
