Great to see you back Kerm, your comments are always appreciated. Your rest was well deserved. I'm glad to hear that you like the TLM/AKSEF deal (AKSEF has been a great trader for me). I wondered if you have any comments on a company I just came across-- Rider Resources RRI.A - T.

Thanks in Advance,
Crane

Kerm

I agree that the price that Talisman paid for Arakis on a BOE is cheap. However,IMHO the reason its cheap is that there is a good chance that the oil may not be pumped until the political situation calms down.

Also, there are daily riots in Indonesia. Sooner or later the government will fall. Any new government will probably be more anti- western. They may nationalize the oil fields or impose heavier royalty payments on foreign oil companies.

IMHO, I would rather invest in a company like Renaissance whose oil production is entirely in North America.

This is not to say that RES doesn't have its own problems, but I think they will be easier to fix than TLM's if there is a war in the Middle East or a coup in Indonesia.

Kerm, Great to see you back.

Had a question for you or anybody else out there. I'm thinking of investing some funds in oil and gas companies which have an international focus, such as OCE.B, GHP, Seven Seas,Gulfstream etc. These international companies seem to be beat up much more than domestic producers probably due to the international economic problems faced by many countries.

Before settling on any stock, I wanted to do some comparisons to see how each ranks against the other. Do you know of any source where I could get a list of such Canadian international producers to start my dd.

Thanks in advance. Your help is always appreciated!
