Gersh; (OT) Compared to my sister you did real good if you managed to trade the 401k in three days. I found some real horror stories about some of these on the net. King is still the county sheriff, and I think he's not a bad sort, but he got tangled up and conned into some stuff I tried to warn them about a few years back. Right now the County has got itself in hot water with it's building a new jail to take in prisoners from far away places at a profit. I knew when that started it would screw up. So now the Lawyers are not just taking back the profits, but collecting their pound of flesh from all the tax payers, even those of us who opposed it. <g> -------------------- Ironically some of the Lawyers who sponsored it, are now the ones making the money off what they had to know was going to blow up. King is trapped in the middle and scratching his head about how he turned out to be the goat. Other than that it's the same old story, most of the county is control by a corporate board that sits in Michigan and has never visited us but for brief moments. The old underground name for our News Paper, ( The Facts )is still the same and refereed to as the DOW gazette. If you were down here when the Mosquito control scandal broke, you are aware then that to expose it people had to go to the Houston Post. All that came of that was one sacrificial lamb was sent to jail and ordered to pay back about 100K , which of course has never happened. I don't think he has ever figured out how the Commissioner's used him. He likely still thinks they were his friends. Same ole same ole, except Dow is moving more and more of it's operations to Mexico, so they can poison those people without any EPA looking over their shoulder. Jim
