It's too late. You have confessed your condition, and soon common sense will start its inexorable advance.

I also used to assume Wallace was a racist who was a politician, but I no longer think that was the case. That assumption was dispelled for me by some articles based upon recent biographies of Wallace. I heard that same assessment repeated when Wallace died last week, and by liberal analysts who wouldn't have a reason to sugarcoat Wallace's past. Wallace once lost an election to a rival who was racist, and Wallace is quoted as saying "I won't be out-niggered again." The irony is that by choosing the tactics of his rival he destroyed his future.
