It'll be interesting to see what happens (if anything) to IDX stock today
with the Westergaard/Mallon Security 2001 conference - Randy is scheduled to receive his award at lunchtime today.

p.s. With close to 10% of IDX floating shares being shorted, a little positive fundamental news could bring a nice squeeze!

Let's spell out the meaning of the Australian deal.

First, I agree it has to be IDX . . . given the "Fingerscan" references, the Australian locations and, especially, no announcement by any biometric company.

Here we have NRID and SACM doing a press release any time someone in their software departments sneezes, and a ballyhooed Compaq/Identicator alliance. Meanwhile, IDX can't even properly announce its next generation F3 technology.

So who installs the first biometrics in a national-level intranet/extranet? IDX. Who has moved beyond vaporware announcements to real deals? IDX. Who got this one without Oracle or Computer Associates? IDX.

Where's the beef? Australia.
