John; (OT ) It sometimes seems progress has so many side effects it goes backwards instead of forward. Once it get's a foothold into our pork barrel system no matter which way it runs it just keeps going. Tyson has decided it wants to put a chicken in every bodies pot even if it kills them. Chemicals used to enhance the growth and production of Poultry, to Dairy Cows, for marginal short term gains in profits, have just about killed the effectiveness of antibiotics used to cure humans, and the side effects are that many people now die that wouldn't, while medical cost go through the roof for them that can afford to visit a doctor. ( BTW this no inflation picture the Fed paints must not include Medical and insurance cost , if it does then someone is lying their arse off ) But I guess this is great news for the drug companies. --------------- While I'm at it I want to include an irony that I'v noticed when every I pay attention to the "Pitch" I've seen most of the Republicans use when they are patting themselves on the back in front of their local constitutes. They always get around to "bragging" about what they got out of The Federal Government to bring back home. ( ie pork ). The biggest beep beep right wing hate the Commie, in the Country that comes to mind is that chicken looking N.C. republican who holds the all time record for milking the Federal Government. I'm about ready to conclude that what the Republicans hated about the evil empire of communism was that it wasn't communistic enough to suit them. --------------------- Jim
