japan is not isolated from Asia...you cant discount the rest of asia in the market and still be concerned about Japan...because Japan will effect asia...

they are interconnected.....

You cant say...Mr Market has already discounted hong Kong or China...when Japan's crisis could and will effect hong kong and China...and could create a depegging situation

There is too much interconnection to me to say all the rest of Asia is discounted in the market but Japan is not....
I GUARANTEE YOU that if China or Hong Kong depegged/devalued....there would be an effect in our market

B.Revere,..Re:the banks of JAPAN are by far the biggest foreign buyers of US tresuries.

Actually it's the UK which holds about 268 billion while Japan only holds about 262 billion.

just a trillion? i would put the immediate mark closer to at least 3, and that doesnt even include all the pension funds they are going to have conjure out of nothing<G>.

i was told about six months ago to think of the S&L mess on steriods.
