Tero,

There are so many cross currents that it's probably not possible to put ones finger on any one reason for the relative behavior of these tel equip stocks although it does seem pretty clear that Nokia is being tarred with the same brush as ALA, and what is going on with ERICY anyway?

Perhaps Q is holding up better because:

a) it's cheaper . price/sales for Nokia at 76 is 2.4x, for Q at 48 is 1.1x.According to daily graphs price to book for Q is about 2x, Nokia is around 12x. Lu is in a world of its own

b) perhaps the spinoff is being viewed positively

c)Q only has to get its internal house in order at this point to make great strides in bottom line earnings, and it's most important mkts at this point are US and Japan, not China and other emerging mkt nations, so that in fact what you have been claiming is CDMA achilles heel might at this point in time be its strength.

d) perhaps those in the know are figuring out that Q will have its way and play a central part in 3G, whatever it's ultimately called

e) maybe they have some mindblowing technology at PCS convention which doesn't need approval from ETSI or anyone else to find its way into the mktplace in the next year or two, ie CDMA 2000.
