Candy smells, too, like Good N' Plenty, Beechnut; and those little valentine hearts my uggy sisters would lay out and try to match to imagined events. I had a love for sherbet ice cream. I remember dropping a triple cone, plop, on the den floor. It didn't even try to bounce. Green, red, and orange. It flattened out one side, but I went to emergency room effort to fix it. (Might be why I decided against Surgery.)

I must have looked really stupid carrying those things around. But everyone looked stupid in the early sixties, and I knew it.

I liked mud a lot. Used to make it.
