I completely agree with your post, Borzou. That's why I believe Americans should push for term limits and campaign financing reform. The founding fathers never intended that terms in congress should become lifelong careers. However, it will take persistence and strong determination in order to achieve them. Once elected each representative immediately starts their self-preservation plan and none of them have the degree of morality that would enable them to do what's best for the country rather than for themselves. I sincerely hope if the final outcome is strong censure for Pres. Clinton it will include a measure that restores our children's respect for the Presidency. Those who've doggedly pursued him these past few years have completely erased the traditional sentiment that awarded the position itself(no matter who the occupant might be) a degree of respect. They ignored the fact that elections are the method by which the American people change leaders -- not thru a partisan witch-hunt.(BTW, I voted for Bush & Dole - never Pres. Clinton) Take care, Ann
