Yes, if eBay gets its IPO (and it will probably get more), it will have a market cap north of $650M.

By most measures, that will be very expensive, but by Internet standards, anything goes.

eBay is the dominant online auctioner, and I expect it to remain that way.

The biggest question is how long they will grow at their current rate. Probably not too much of a problem over the next year (during which time they could triple or quadruple), but they clearly can't continue that forever.

I wouldn't be surprised to see them do between $100M and $150M in fees and commissions next year. After that, who knows?
