Cycomm to Partner with Lockheed Martin Integrated Systems Inc. on Major Contract
Cycomm Wins Contract to Provide Secure Computing Products and Services
MCLEAN, Va., Sept. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Cycomm International Inc. (Amex: CYI - news), announced today that its subsidiary, Cycomm Secure Solutions Inc. has been awarded a contract from Lockheed Martin, the prime contractor on the $1.8 billion Rapid Response to Critical Support Requirements (R2CSR) Program.

Cycomm will provide secure computer products, proprietary technologies and vital services to various Defense Department organizations, which will enable these agencies to immediately respond to major occurrences around the world, including critical events that can effect our national security. The ultimate value of Cycomm's portion of the contract is open-ended, since the Company will provide, as required, a series of high level technology-related services and products, over a period of five years. It is anticipated however, that the requisition of specified secure computer products and services will begin by the 4th quarter of 1998, with initial hardware orders estimated to be approximately $600,000.

Cycomm Secure Solutions is one of only eleven (11) companies in the United States that were selected to participate in this prestigious, and vitally important contract. Other companies that will be joining in this project include Logicon, SAIC, and L3. Cycomm Secure Solutions will be the contract's only provider of ''Tempest'' level secured computers and engineering services. ''Tempest'' specifications are a series a rigid computer, transmission, and communication standards adopted by the U.S. government and agencies, to ensure the highest possible level of data protection and secured communications, and require the highest level of security clearance.
