I'm starting to think this is actually a very big deal. Here a little snip from Noglows in today's thestreet.com

"....Yesterday, Netscape Communications (NSCP:Nasdaq)
announced that it had signed a three-year strategic alliance
with telecommunications provider Qwest Communications
(QWST:Nasdaq) to create a single service on Netcenter
called Netscape Contact, where consumers can manage all
of their telephone and Internet communications. Under the
terms of the venture, long-distance telephone calls,
conference calls, faxing, email, Internet access and
combined voice and email in a single inbox will be available
from Netscape Contact, which will serve as the home base
for a customer's ongoing communications needs.

While skeptics might write off the offerings as nothing more
than another attempt to target Internet users for
long-distance phone services, I believe the deal represents
an important step along the path to becoming a trusted
full-service communications/information manager and points
in the direction of eventual cross-platform ubiquity. Given this
venture, I believe it is even more appropriate to look for
similar intitiatives from AOL and Yahoo! (YHOO:Nasdaq)
down the road."
