Here's a quote from the release that sounds interesting:

''We believe this award to be the first of several related DMEA/ATSP contracts that JMAR expects to receive within the near future.'' Dr. Martinez added, ''Furthermore, this contract also allows JMAR the rights to use the technology we develop for proprietary commercial applications, adding attractive additional future revenue opportunities well beyond the direct DMEA applications.''

Y2K: Chips a Problem?
If you could take a moment to enlighten me, I would appreciate it. My impression is that the Y2K problem is almost entirely a software issue. What kinds of chips have date encoding embedded in their logic that would cause problems with the Y2K rollover?
