Not blockbuster news, but hey, a million here, a million there..........
I like it, keep 'em coming. Let's hope the big boys on the call like it
too. I would expect their reaction, whatever it is, would not be immediate.

Conference call was the best that I have heard. Got to listen in and took some notes. Here are some of the hilights and additional info that I heard:

[1] JSI on the verge of explosive growth - more contracts expected, this was just the starting shot.

[2] Brightlight, expects order by yearend. Explained in detail one of the first applications of using the Brightlight and why it is superior to anything else in its class. First application is to drill very tiny holes in printed circuit boards. JMAR's Brightlight can drill holes much smaller than the machine tools and carbon dioxide lasers now used. Smaller than a human hair. I believe that the short pulse high energy Brightlight removes material without the melting effect of other laser systems. Brightlight will be initially used for material removal applications.

JMAR is doing demonstrations currently and negotiating possible OEM relationships in regards to Brightlight.

[3] XRL- Company is very confident in being a major player in x-ray lithography. Said that the market for these sources can be as high as $1 - 4 billion annually. Said that JMAR was judged by DARPA to be the most qualified in its field and that JMAR owns all commercial rights to the technology it produces. Said that the XRL station should take up no more room than optical, maybe even more compact.

Other things mentioned were that JMAR was formed by laser experts that came from the same company where Cymer got its initial people. I forgot the name (TRW?). Several Brokers and analysts asked questions. Most notable was an analyst from Merril Lynch who ask some good questions pertaining to why JMAR is not just concentrating on XRL only. The answer was that the synergies from the other divisions are important for the total development of XRL.

Very upbeat on the future. There are basically 4 busineses that JMAR is engaged in. JMAR Precision Systems (PPL) is making JMAR the bulk of sales and profits. They expect JSI, Brightlight, and XRL, the other 3 businesses to be contributing shortly, with JSI already starting today.
