You are probably being flip, but it's actually a very wise statement.

Many of the things we discuss on this thread are unknowable and unpredictable. What will the Fed do? Will Brazil collapse? When will equip orders increase? I don't know the date or price at the bottom, but I can say with 100% certainty that, at a price of 24, AMAT is much closer to the bottom now than at 34. And it is a much less risky investment at 24 than 34. The longer the stock goes down, the more optimistic we should be, for the long-term.
