I stay on all day, and longer: many days 24 hours. I just don't bother to log off. I'd switch ISPs if I were you.

Wish I'd known this was going to be a tradeless day. I could have stayed in bed.

Linda

OT

I have a local cable modem and they dump me every four hours with unlimited agreement. I just time it to disconnect and reconnect around noon time.

LG, MSN Bites...

I stay logged before/during/after trading day with multiple browser windows (including quote streams) + plus email. ISP is earthlink, and I've never had a problem or complaint.

The only reason that I retain a Signal cable box is in the event that ISDN or ISP integrity is broken. Which brings up an interesting point... based on what you've said, MSN would impede Signal (et al) internet business.

Good luck,
Alan

ps. Okay, okay. I retain the cable box b/c Omega and Signal are still fine-tuning the real-time Internet stuff.

LG,

I do most of the time, but I use Mindspring for my connection---I never have a problem with the service(very fast---no overhead like AOL and MS) or with notes like that.

Peter :o)

off topic
excuse interruption; I was lurking & noticed your post. Do stay logged on all day & have been irritated with Bell Atlantic because I get cut off occasionally during the day. Microsoft arrived in the mail a few days ago with their "unlimited" offer, & I was about to bite. You could do worse than BAnet (think the cutoff was because I had set up my own logon, instead of using theirs; hasn't happened since I switched to theirs). Have already gone thru AT&T & MCI - lured on by "unlimited" & 1 month in getting an e-mail advising it"s 150 hrs & then a buck an hour for any above 150. BTW, can you perhaps advise which site posts the tick count on the DJ-30? Thank you! D.A.
