Mr. K., so my understanding of what you are saying is that the various "network watching" products are so different that there is no question as to which product is involved, when a problem occurs on the network. Is this correct?

If it's not, then I would much rather deal with one vendor -- assigning someone in my company to check on competitive products, to make sure that our one vendor's products are "up to snuff" (and making them deal with whatever is not).

Also, is it your take that NETA has purchased "best of breed" in all cases?

Thanks, in advance, for the education.

Excellent post. I've the same sorts of concerns for some time, while recognizing the evident successes.

I also think Larson engineers his earnings to a fair degree. Some of that is O.K., to even things out. But I worry a bit. This last is mostly just a sort of intuition, the synthesis of many tiny bits of information, none of which make a convincing case.
