Thanks duke60. That was exactly what I was looking for. To my untrained eye, it doesn't appear like there is any clear trend toward lower volumes at the moment.

I find dips like today very educational (if not more than a little unsettling). When we had a few up days, the news just seemed to report it's up because a) the Fed might say something b) Clinton might say something c) Clinton might not say something d) whatever. Then it goes down and they're interviewing Ed Yardeni saying that it's definitely a bear market that could last several years. Interesting link to Yardeni: smartmoney.com

It will be interesting to see how this all plays out.
