Tom, I don't usually play with UK CEFs, as then you have a double currency whammy. Not only does the currencies in your country or countries have to do well, but the pound has to do well in the translation. Also, they don't have our SEC and those guys do occasionally go out of business.

Some, of course, are clones of funds offered here, such as Fidelity, Schroeder, and Asia Tigers. I would rather play them here. Also, firms like Govett have proven in its US funds that it cannot manage its way out of a paper bag. Still, even with all those hangups, a 50% discount is tempting.
