HI John; ( OT ) I once was in Washington State, about 15yrs ago
following the a run of shrimp up there, and made a trip on a boat
that some ex dairy farmers just bought. They were the hardest
working gang I ran into, and caught on fast too. <G>
------------------
This won't make you happy but I want to point at it.
Recently I saw were a small dairy who was a hold out on using that
super duper drug that Monsanto came out with to spike up production
on the Cows, well he ran an add to the effect his milk was the
only one now on that local market that didn't have milk made using
this invigorating drug.
Other hold outs all wound up in a "trucking" pool that caused their
milk to be commingled with the souped up stuff. So the trucking pool
defeated them holding out. He had his own trucks.
------------
Now there is a lot of ( was a lot of ) controversy about this drug
and the side effects that it put into the milk. But that aside
as I don't know the good or evil in it, what I'm getting at
is this.
Monsanto took him to court and sued him for unfair advertising Now I was outraged how was this little guy going to defend
himself against the giant, why it would cost him more than he could
ever make. Why didn't he have the right to say his milk was free
of the drug, and why didn't people have the right to make a choice.
------------------
Monsanto is being swallowed up now by AHP, and I guess we can look
forward to more conglomerate type over bearing and dictatorial policies in the future.
And the FDA don't really give a hoot, they are just there as
part of an appeasement program but any thing goes if your big
enough. If they get down to business the Republicans will chop
their budget. So now we see were unmidagated capitalisum is
taking us, we will sone be called the Conglomerotics, and rightly
so..and the dictorally power they will hold will exceed any the
communist could have concived. In fact It's already begining to come to that now. I wonder who will take over Tyson chicken, ADM ?
