This is an exciting and far reaching development. It will be interesting to see what the minimum viable scale will be for this sort of "closed circle" application. Are there other processes besides an entire waste reprocessing plant that can extract methane from "waste" in usable quantities. Could we someday be powering our homes with compost? "Hey honey, how about eating a bit more roughage, the lights are getting dim." The marriage of biomass research and fuel cells may well yield some startling results. Kudos to UTX for exploring this realm.
