All:

In honor of the old saying "There's no such thing as a dumb question." here goes:

1. If a stock has been trending up until the current "correction"/"Bear Market" can one assume it will still trend up when the nastiness is over? Or, are all bets off? If all bets are off how long is the generally accepted waiting period before a stock can be declared in a trend?

2. I've noticed that when testing in Metastock 6.5 that nearly every security can be optimized for a different version of my "system". Is it "dumb" to try to adapt a tailored system for each security I track (around 20 at the present time) or one general purpose system for the entire group, even though the overall performance would seem to be less than the sum of the individual systems?

Thanks for all help!
