TDFX doesn't have to do any of that (except support the necessary volumes), the board maker does. That is, unless TDFX is planning on making boards, but I haven't seen any indication they are.

"It needs to be willing and able to customize drivers, diagnostics, and utilities for each OEM (To at least display the OEM logo). "

All companies reduce prices to move product that isn't selling. Early reports on TNT sales don't indicate a real need to do so. It's a lot harder to raise prices than lower them. TDFX appears confident enough to wait out the slow period to protect margins in Q4.

"It also must be willing to reduce price when faced with increased volume."

You are so right..... OEMs remind me of corrupt government officials.... they hold the key for your product entering a big market in great numbers, but you better kiss some ass and do exactly as they say or they'll just sit there until you do. They need you, but they know you need them more!!

Anyway, we are all in the red with this sucker, but I feel a convergence of benign cosmic forces happening right around the corner, trust me.... OK, kidding aside, I hope this is just PART of everyone's portfolio, the market sucks right now, and they had a bad Q. Is this the beggining of the end?....if you think it is, you better sell. If you think this was a combination of seasonal weakness, bad product release timing, pesky competition claims and people just waiting for Banshee, then just hang on a bit longer..

I've been wrong before!!
