Doug,

Re: Down 5% on a mkt drop of 2.5% is quite different from "on our way up".

If you compare the Newbridge "apple" with other "apples" rather than the Market "orange", you get a slightly different picture.

i.e. LU down 5.5%, NT down 13.2%, ALA down 38.5%, TLAB down 8.2%

Agreed, not as impressive as going up 25% when its sector and the market is down, but for one, I'm not depressed yet.

Down 5% on a mkt drop of 2.5% is quite different from "on our way up".

You're right, but that's hindsight.

You might calculate the drop in telecommunications to make the comparison meaningful.

CSCO down 4.84%
LU down 5.56%
NN down 6.42%
ERICY down 7.21%
NT down 13.17%
ALA down 38.52%

Ascend was up on take-over speculation. Now, if we could get a rumor started, we'd be set. :)
