Alan, still not sure of your answer re:closing price spx option.
Are you saying that the options are priced at the close of business
tomorrow but no trading of the index options occurs? For example,
the sp8u closed tonight at 1019. The futures sp8z(DEC) go lock
limit down(-27) and when the spx opens up tomorrow, it recedes to
992 after all 500 stocks are opened for trading. From that point,
the spx moves as the market trades but no options trades are allowed. The market moves the spx index to 980 at the close. The options are settled at that price and accounts are balanced Mon. morning.
Is this the scenario?
