Possibly. But I think the major reason for Moto's retrenchment in VA is the overall corporate financial condition. Moto has seen revenue drop in their cellular biz (held on to analog far too long while Nokia and others carpe'd the diem on digital) and their semi biz.

We have seen the results of this retrenchment played out in the Phoenix area with layoffs and divisional consolidations.

As things improve for Moto (and I'm sure they will), we'll probably see the VA facility come back to life. As to what they will manufacture, time will tell. Moto believes in develpoing fabs which can be "convertible" between logic and memory processes (although the switch is far from simple).
