Just do a search on news.com, zdnet...or even here on SI for "computerware".

I just did that. Cannot find anything regarding sales in Computerware in SI or ZDnet. I did find a reference in news.com and interestingly, they report the sales figures as: "1,240 iMacs from August 15 through August 31, and sold 1,837 units for the whole month."

MacCentral, on the other hand says "1,240 iMacs from August 15 to August 31 and sold 2,002 units for the whole month".

mmmmmh.......

On a different note, it's funny how the context changes perception. I have often posted my "do the math" articles letting chips fall as they may. Phil said $65 by end of 1998, I did the math and said, optimistic but possible. Somebody else posted $165 and I said impossible.

I did the math with this article (as I've done before with other data points) and the figures came out incredibly high, and more importantly the ZD intelligence article also suggests really strong sales.
