You got the wrong end of the stick. It is imports from the USA for which New Zealand is to be excommunicated over parallel importing. Not Libya, Iran etc. They don't produce much we want! Except for oil. That's the other thing you got wrong.

Maurice, love you though I do, I have almost never been able to comprehend your American free trade hypocrisies rants. I'm sure we commit some sins (though we have generally been, among powerful nations, the leading force for free trade). I might even be prepared to agree with you on occasion if I could just understand you. I rather imagine if I can't, rather few on this forum can either. <g>

Free air, free oil and free oceans, free spectrum, etc are GOOD! If they can't be free, then the cheaper the better. You won't improve production, profits etc by taxing Americans to use air, oceans, oil and spectrum and giving the money to some uncivilized place so they can buy USA products. That is nuts!

Similar level of comprehension here as in the prior paragraph. I.e., what are you ranting about? I haven't a clue. <g> Enlighten me.

Regards, Doug
