Something is fundamentally wrong even if we don't know what.

This statement weighs heavily with me this evening. I can only think of two scenarios for this drop. Either the market is correctly anticipating an upcoming world recession and drying up of telecom equipment orders, or this is a panicky washout bottom exacerbated by margin calls, triple-witching, etc. The only consolation is that if we do enter a world-wide recession with N. America and Europe finally joining in the contraction of growth, then interest rates are going much lower, even if Uncle Alan kicks and screams the whole way down.

G'day all - Dear Judy, yes, being traded on the Toronto Exch will have an impact [vulnerability, as you aptly put it in this situation] to the stock [Btw, does anyone know if it is also traded in London? If so, there should be some indication whether there is something more to meet the eye for today.] Agreeing with Paul F, I do not see broker margin calls were the culprit. I agree with you, something is wrong. It could be real [leak] or imaginary [unsubstantiated rumour,] the sooner it is out in the open, the sooner the stock will stabilize [retrace back to the next support level up or down.]

Right now, there isn't much more to say but to sit tight.

Addendum: this piece from Reuter doesn't add a lot whole as most of us have known and I doubt those who wheel a bigger stick [or position] are that stupid <sg>
