Right, I really respected Regan and Bush after they lied Iran/Contra. They stayed in after trading arms for hostages. That went against a rock solid American principle that has been around for decades. Were you mad about that?

You "YES" people sound like a freaking lynch mob. How many of you "YES" people are "YES" because your spouse fooled around on you??

"This is not about the market, it is about the capacity to lead."

It's not?

The market will dictate the standard of living we shall all enjoy in the future. A steady market, one relatively in equilibrium, will allow people to work. I see by the news this declining market has already put many out of work....further declines will put many more out of work. The market is more all-encompassing than most give it credit for.

The question of Hyde and the others having extra-marital sexual relations in the past....no matter how long ago....has validity.

Ever smoke cigarettes? I did. Ever meet the most rabid anti-smokers? They are ex-cigarette smokers. I would not want them judging me. If I were a person who was involved in an embarrassing sex scandal the last person I would want running the show would be a reformed adulterer....I noticed some posts about that earlier so I thought I would mention it.

However. The question here was yes or no, and I said no. I gave a reason, I did not have to. As far as Clinton's capacity to lead is concerned, there is no question the guy's morals are low class. Can he lead? Well, I never thought Reagan could, nor Nixon. Nor do I think Gore can.

If you want Gore, remember this, an incumbent President is harder to defeat than a Vice President.

EDIT I realized after a moment that you were not replying to me, just to the thread.

Sorry if my post presented itself as a defense of my vote. Vote anyway you like, of course. If the market drops a bunch it's okay with me as long as I'm selling it on the way down.

As a side note, I was enchanted to see a blurb on CNBC where Geraldo R. mentioned Gingrich called Clinton a woman hater because he would not have anything other than oral sex with a woman other than his wife.

Then Rivera pointed to Vanity Fair articles in '95 and other stuff which pointed out stuff about Newt getting Oral Sex but with his claiming it was not intercourse, not "sex".

I think this entire issue points out, male or female, there are a lot of powerful people in this country who use that power for sex. Does this mean these people can lead or not?

Let those who are without sin.....
