>In no small part due to Hyde's speech and his towering reputation, Crane and Gerry Studds (whom also had an affair with a page)were both CENSURED by the House after more serious charges of expulsion were voted down.<

And perhaps had Clinton demonstrated the same humility and brokeness ostensibly demonstrated by Crane, Hyde would have defended him. Even until recently Hyde may have shown Clinton a great deal of sympathy in light of his own personal failings. But now that he has been attacked it may be that Clinton will come to rue the existence of Salon e-mag.

Congresional Hypocrisy

Henry Hyde (Chairman of the Judiciary Committee) is news on the national news tonight over an adulterous affair that he had that has just been made public.

He is upset over this breech of his private life.

Too bad..... he is just another hypocritical SOB who wants to keep his personal lies private while he tars and feathers someone else for the same offense.

Let the sexual expose games continue....

Interesting how Crane was rejected in his re-election try while Studds was re-elected. Massachusetts has no principles.
