Ian, I just posted a message on this before I read your post. I don't think any of these (the ones I enquired about were Lam and Cymer) are traded publically even though they have to be registered and yes, they smell.

At least the investors have seen the gap to conversion price grow larger since issue, but even so, the bond feature has to have increased their value due to decreasing interest rates.
