Get yourself some good fax software and a cheap scanner and suddenly you have that fax/printer combo.

Would you also tell a PC user to buy an Intel desktop and a cheap monitor and suddenly you have an iMac?

Apple has a card for the 16/600 printer to make it a fax printer.

I think HP makes them with Mac software available.
