j_b,

As I've mentioned many times, I've voted Republican in the past 3 Presidential elections & always split my ballot(never straight party line)....we're the type of moderates each party is now fighting tooth & nail to win over.....the partisans on both sides never try to look at anything political in an objective way....they wear politcal blinders....in many cases they're still voting the way "Mom & Dad" voted.

After 6 yrs. of interaction with Pres. Clinton, the foreign heads of state know whether he can be trusted on international matters. As the recent eastern european leader said "he tries not to comment on things he doesn't understand"(meaning the Monica mess)....he then went on to make positive remarks about our President.

The world is just waiting for Americans to stop the "civil war" & get on to the really important & dangerous problems that need attention.

As far as "forcing a showdown with Iraq," IMO that is exactly the type of situation that would make the populace rally around their President even more....they usually do that in time of international turmoil.

You asked about type of censure...I don't know but I doubt that refusing him his pension would be severe enough.....whichever path he takes in 2 yrs, it'll be lucrative(he wouldn't miss the pension pittance). I definitely believe he should address the young people of U.S.A. in some way....that's where the most damage has been inflicted....in their eyes even the last hero has succumbed to moral decay. A sincere talk about the importance of being honest & having integrity.....maybe one of those town meetings he enjoys would be effective with them.

We could forbid Pres. Clinton to eat pizza, McDonald hamburgers or smoke cigars(haha) for the remainder of his Presidency(and, of course, not get within 10 ft. of another female as well:o)

What do you suggest for censure?

Ann
