I agree - the point I was making was that voting is one way of bringing about change, but rational discussion is another. At the very least, he is using that method. Complaining (IMHO) is not the same as discussing and trying to bring about change. However, it is not enough by itself. For example, whatever stance you might take on the issues we've been discussing, you should share them with your Congressional representative. Don't let them have only opinion polls by which to judge. After all, the polls only show national results, and your representative needs to know how his district feels. Don't stop now - get more active. It doesn't take much and it accomplishes a great deal.
