DougHboy, what is that selective memory? :-)

You really must be kidding me that you don't believe the White House leaked or said anything damaging about Ken Starr right?? That's hysterical! :-)

A lot of unfounded charges you made there.

The reason the NY Times finally had anything complimentary to say about Ken Starr is very simple. He did what special prosecutors are supposed to do. He discovered the truth, without a shadow of a doubt. Even the White House had to admit to lying before the report became public.

Of course now they are saying he never lied. Well if the defense team of the White House wants to go around telling the American people the President never lied. I say let's see the tapes and decide for ourselves.

Being concerned about innocent people is fine, but how do you know the tape even needs editing?

I'm a registered Democrat and I want to see the unedited testimony/tantrum. People need to see Clinton in pressure situations. They also need to see him when he doesn't know the nation is watching. IE, the fake tears when he saw the camera on him at the service, after laughing only a second before. The guy is the most fake individual I have ever seen in high office.

Dems want it open. What are Republicans afraid of?

Thats the first thing in years Dems wanted out in the open. Clinton has certainly wanted nothing out in the open since he's been in office.

What is Clinton afraid of? Only one thing, losing his power. He will absolutely take the entire party down rather than lose his office. Sad person indeed. Personally, I hope nothing happens until after the Nov elections. 2/3rds majority in both the house and senate would be interesting for Repubs. Hang in there Bill. Keep stalling another 7 weeks.

re: hypocrisy

There is enough to go around. To all of you who have been saying that the Democrats did this or the Republicans did that - neither side has much to be proud of. There are good individuals on both sides of the aisle, but the overall approach of both parties, and the public antics of the leadership of both parties is embarrassing.

All the talk of hypocrisy, while it should be dealt with at some point, is completely irrelevant to Clinton's situation. I don't care if Hyde eats small children for breakfast - arrest him and put him on trial, but it has nothing to do with Clinton. The Clinton situation is far too important to waste time on any Congressional scandals. Deal with the Presidency first, and the Congress later. Stop trying to deflect attention away from the real issues.

Dough B. oy,

There's rumor going around that Anita Hill has been asked to join the Clinton defense team.
