5 tech stocks that are cheap enough Microsoft Investor - Jubak's Journal, Posted 9/18/98 A turnaround in the chip sector is still a long way off -- but I've found some bargains that are tough to pass up. By Jim Jubak Let's go looking for technology bargains. Still, some great stocks on this list are just so cheap that I'm going to watch them like a hawk. (Of course, I won't have to worry about watching LSI Logic. It became a member of Jubak's Picks when it was a much more expensive stock. I don't see a reason to sell when it's so clearly trading below fair value.) I'd put two stocks on the top of that list to watch: Analog Devices (ANAD), one of the top five analog chip makers, and KLA-Tencor (KLAC), the leading maker of equipment for testing chips as they move through the factory.
