If you believe that, then you believe that the market is controlled more by the specialists and the market makers, than by the customers.

And if you believe that, then I agree with you.

I believe the Market Makers and the Specialists are the ones with the key to the markets. They have the ability to sell short into the strength of the market, and that has a great deal to do with the weaknesses, when they come. That's when they cover.
