xia, First what is the data of that commentary. LU spoke to analysts two days ago and painted a rosy outlook. Second, the statement about ALA's performance is no way is an indication of what ASND will do financially speaking. The product lines and product uses are COMPLETELY different and in fact orthoginal. ALA builds legacy "old world" products for networks that carriers are trying to keep from growing. ASND builds products for tomorrows networks - products that carriers can't get enough of. Finally, this comment you posted in no way addresses you previous point which was that if LU doesn't announce a purchase of ASND then they will tank like CIEN did. My reponse was, even though ASND will "DSND" as you put it, it will only be $5-$10 at most and will recover quickly as people begin to see that ASND is "a player". Xia, let's stay on track with the discussion. BTW: Analysts do this every quarter... and every quarter the key players in the communications market succeed in making their numbers. OG
