Chat - BTO : - Hancock Bank and Thrift Opportunity, closed end fund investing in regional banks, announced they will repurchase up to 4 million of their shares. The fund has returned better than 23% annual for the past 3 years. for most of 1998, the shares have been trading at a discount. current price is about 10 3/8. The fund will buy shares to prevent the discount from widening. The share repurchase plan will start on 9/21/98. Larrry. BTO is a Z and personal position.
